New Computer and Player Stats

Just installed Links 2003 on new Windows 11 computer. I have transferred the Players folder to the new computer but the stats do not agree with the old one!. Any advices? TIA Robert

Robert, without seeing any of the numbers you're talking about, the only thing I can think of is maybe you haven't transferred all the courses you had installed, thereby leaving some numbers out.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for replies. Links was installed and runs perfectly. Looking further into the player stats it is only the LSPN_SammieDog stats that are different. Old installation says 3972 rounds played, new installation says only 13. Do I need to get the pin file from the site?

Yes, Robert, but not on that site - on your computer. The .pin file is in your /Program Data/Players/ directory, using the file name you gave it - which has nothing to do with the site where you play - your PC. Mine, for my pmgolf-lspn player, is pmgolf-lspn8.pin. It's the 8th iteration of the details of my player (clubs used, etc.)

Thanks Pete but where from? I've copied pin file from old PC but that makes no difference. I've done a search to see if my pin file is on here but cannot find anything.

Read my post again - I just changed it. Look toward the end of the files in that Players directory where the .PIN files are.

In the Links game, Player section. Your pin file name will be shown.

That is my pmgolf-lspn .pin filename, with the 8 for 8th iteration of clubs, stats, etc.

Strange. I've deleted the Players folder on the new computer and copied the Players folder again from the old one. All player stats are the same apart from LSPN_SammieDog. Got me beat!

LSPN_SammieDog is there and I can play on the tour, it is just the stats that are not right.

Thanks again Guys but still no joy. I am 99.99% certain I have copied in the files from and to the correct locations. All other players stats are showing correctly. One thing I have noticed is that the file size for LSPN_SammieDog is only 17kb whereas some of the others have file sizes of 37kb. Think I might have to give up on this one!

Further to this and the file size, after playing a round, the pin file is not getting updated. Has a date going back to 2017. All other pin files do get updated.

SOLVED !!
The correct pin file for LSPN_SammieDog was found in\Users\App Data\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData\Links2003\Players. Phew!
I don't understand though why this would be outside of the other Players folder that all the other pin files are in. But anyway all sorted.
