It's still weeks off but I wonder if Riviera will be playable.

I hope Chuck Clark & Pat Auge don't have to modify the Riviera Country Club 2006 course. Not sure there's an APCD texture for embers. That fire is lapping at their neighborhood.

Prayers for all the people affected.

I haven't heard anything about Riveria CC getting hit by the fires. As for me I'm 80 miles south of Los Angeles. My power has been out since Tuesday night but I do have a 18kw back up generator.

My wife's brother and sister-in-law live in Monrovia. They're under mandatory evacuation (Eaton fire). They can see the fire's edge from their home and chose to stay. Not sure that is wise, but they're packed and ready to go.

My youngest daughter lives in West Hills.
She just sent me a picture of the smoke in the air.
Hard to tell how far away. My understanding is that Palisades
has not been contained at all.

I grew up in Sylmar where the Hurst fire is. I do remember during the 60s several times the mountains being completely ablaze behind us. But I've never seen anything like whats happening now. It's a shame seeing Calif. being turning into a dump. Myself, I will never set foot in that state again.

Palisades Fire is creeping closer to Riviera CC. They're under an evacuation warning. The course may provide a fire break for those on the southeast side.

My guess the course is not being watered today. No, I'm not trying to be funny. It's a terrible situation and will affect SoCal for years and years.
