Match Maker + Server

Does it matter which server you have current as far as being able to host a match? iow, if I just came out of a round in the LSPN test events, and go straight to Match Maker to host a match, will that keep others form being able to join me?

I just tried hosting a match, and got to the Links "Waiting Room", but the other player got a "connection failure". I have my dsl modem/router set up accoring to the instructions in the port fowarding message.

Nope, it won't make a difference.

OK, thanks Mark, that rules out one reason why players can't join my hosted matches.
