I'm pretty sure I just fixed this problem. Shack sent me some info that helped me sniff out the problem this morning.

For what it is worth, which probably isn't much, it seems that many of the posts on this topic list Pinehurst No. 2 as the chief culprit. I haven't tried playing Pinehurst recenlty in a tourney, but I had a similar, though not identicle, problem. After changing computers and reinstalling Links, I took a look at my "saved shots". All of the shots were listed, but the two Pinehurst shots were listed in red (not white). Out of curiosity, I tried replaying the shots, but I receieved a message that the course was not installed. It certainly was and I could play it, but I can't retrieve those two shots.

Some of the courses and alternates weren't set up properly on this site, St Andrews for instance. I'll look at the pinehursts and see if there's a problem.
