courses not available??

I updated Pinehurst #2 so all versions will work with it now. I think the main problem is that we have older versions of most APCD courses on the site rather than the new ones. I'm going to work on adding the new ones so both will work in an event.

Is anyone having trouble with Kapalua Bay? I have one person that isn't able to join an event using it. After further inspection it appears that his course is different somehow. I want to see if anyone else has this problem.

Hi Mark

I went and checked the one tourney with Kapalua Bay and there seemed no problem with that particular course. But for round two it was showing I did not have a course and the compatible courses were.

But I do have all of them so I have no idea what the problem may be. Anyway I thought I would post my findings as it may help you somewhat.

Kapula Bay worked for me also ck'd at LCC only one version available, same as listed

mark, in pinehurst #2s case, some early versions are par 72, and the later ones are par 70. is there a way all versions of each par version could be offered as two separate titles in the list (eg, pinehurst #2 par 70, pinehurst #2 par72)? they really do play differently. in the case of many other courses it's mostly a matter of pin positions, which wouldn't affect the play as drastically.

the other way to sort out the version problem would be to specify in the menu which exact file version is being used. that would at least standardize what the tour file is going to be, and pretty near all files are now available either at the CC or LC. lw

I played the first 2 rounds with no problem, and when I attempted the 3rd round/Kapalua Plantation I was told I needed the course. I have 2 versions of the course. Then again I should not have been able to start the first round initially.

Definitely something screwy goin on. I have suddenly become unable to play many courses that I have always been able to play before. List below is some but not all..

Troon
Barton Creek
Mordel
Sea Island
Covered Bridge
Chateau Whistler
Royal Melbourne
Entrada
Latrobe
Oakmont
and several others. Some are APCD, some are not..some only have one version that I am aware of.

I am playing in the Grip It & Rip It tourney, (champ, RS) and when I tried to play the 4th round, I get the message that I don't have a compatible course for Latrobe, in the 3rd round. A couple of days ago I already finished the 3rd. Very strange.

ok, try it again. I haven't been able to reproduce the problem on my end so I'm flying blind. I think this last change will do the trick. Also, I found a problem with St Andrews and a missing alternate course so there could be others.
