Well, when setting up the course, I was in practice mode putting only to make sure the chosen pins were fair.
I played a practice round with final round pin positions and MC/FC. While the pin positions are fair, I'm not ecstatic about the course... but I must say it's a huge improvement over any of the Microsoft versions.
If you look at the course in Google Earth Pro, it does go all over the place and I'm sure the roly poly terrain and some of the bounces I incurred are accurate. Facts are, I've NEVER liked Castle Pines regardless of the author. But it's the course for the tourney and the course we'll use.
I shot -2 in that practice round with 5 birdies and a triple (OB and water on the same hole).
I suggest you play a practice round and get used to the rough. There's a 1st cut and then there's CP Rough (which I believe is Deep Grass)
Believe me, my practice round is no threat to anyone and gives me no competitive edge.
