putting swing meter

Postby whisky on Thu Jan 18, 2007 1:33 am

Hi, a rare...very rare posting from me. Heck if you have steaks as rare as my postings then they would MOO!

OK. Seems the program decides just when the long or short putting swing meter kicks in. I like the long swing meter for putts of over 18ft or so, but often, I get the short swing meter with puts of 18 to even 25 meters. Is there a way to set at what length the long swing meter kicks in.

I remember asking this very question at the old site. The response I got was from players who simply stopped using the short swing meter and use the long swing meter for all putts.

To disable the short putt swingmeter, start a round, then select Menu | Preferences | Game Settings ...
then uncheck Use Short Swing Meter

But no, there is no way for you to set the distance point at which the long swingmeter appears.

Thanks to all. Yes, I know you can switch between both but that really is inconvenient. Might have to settlefor long meter for all.

Do you use the mod?

I can't imagine what it must be like to limit oneself to the long putt meter with the mod.

Even with the short putt meter, with certain putts, it's nearly impossible to hit it easy enough.

You can also click on this little magnifying glass to switch back and forth.

Yeah, but that can be risky ... miss that little symbol by just a hair and you've started your "backswing."
