old man problems

Postby ds3224 on Thu Sep 02, 2021 8:56 am

Hi, I have playing Links for many years, but since they started messing with the swing meter, I have lots of trouble. At 80 years of age, I guess my eyes and finger reflexes are failing me, so when the up swing or down swing is speeded up or slowed down, I have problems making corrections which causes terrible shots. Maybe it's time to lay up my mouse, LOL, in less someone can give me a suggestion on how to handle this problem. I do all right when the conditions are more difficult, but the tampering with the swing meter is killing me. Any help will be appreciated a lot... Rich ( Parman )

Who is messing with the swing meter? Anyone else notice this?

No problems here. Common culprit is something running in the background.

apart from what GoBucks suggested, if you don't play already - switch to Amateau Level.
swing the meter up past 12 o'clock and let it go - no need to click again !

i made the switch 18 months ago to Ammy due to swing meter problems and have never looked back - love it !

Changing your graphics resolution size can also change the size and characteristics of your swing meter. Some resolutions have a smaller swing meter and other resolutions have a larger swing meter.

I have always played classic swing for 25 or so years except when I play with Amanti Johnny who only plays Armature. we all know the new links thing where 9 holes are difficult and 9 holes are easier. The swing meter problems always coincide with the difficult 9 holes, which makes me belief that it's part of making things difficult. It's been going on for a year or so now....I also know that as I passed my 79th BD my reflexes and vision have gotten worse. Old age sucks, LOL, Rich

Heh, yeah, I'm still looking for those 9 easy holes.
