Memory Question

Postby Dawg Rivers on Fri Dec 06, 2019 11:27 am

I have 16gb of memory but I noticed the game only says I have 1gb. I'm thinking this is normal since its a game back when we were not using machines with that much memory. I have installed this game several times due to new hard drives etc and it always says 1gb of memory

Is this normal? Or is there something I can change in the games registry or whatever.

Thanks!

The game is showing the graphic memory of the video card you have installed not system memory. No changes necessary.

Hmm.. if that's the case, my Nvidia card has 6 Gb of memory.. That's odd it only shows 1gb.

Well i would agree then since when i go into links and click options, then system info, it shows 4gb physical memory which is right for my radeon R9 card with 3.1023gb virtual memory available. Maybe you have windows limiting you by the size of your page file.

Didn't we discuss adjusting virtual memory awhile back? And for the life of me I can't remember why.
Common sense and common courtesy two things this world needs more of.
