hey, br. you mean internet explorer 7, and no, there is no compatibility problem between ie7 and links. it's just necessary to go into internet options|security or privacy settings and allow cookies to be copied from http://www.lspn.net. i allowed private header information to be copied, so i have made no adjustments to ie7 (my primary browser is opera anyway).

edit: oops. my bad, free'. you are correct.

Thanks Free,
I'm somewhat relucant about upgrading to 7.0. My work related system instructed us NOT to do any up-grades to 7.0 because it might cause problems with programs that we use. I thought this might be something that could also make some effect on personal PC's, so, I never did the up-grade to 7.0.

Any comments, suggestions ?

OK T, thanks for the info. I'll look at that.
I'm not sure if I can change/adjust those settings as u noted. but will look at this.
Talking with some friends, the IE7 has caused some problems with other programs on their PC's. (XP types).

i can't speak for myself, br, but the work guys are correct, you shouldn't be messin' with the work pc's unless you know exactly what you're doing.

however, the home pc is completely different. i can't testify ie7 is the greatest, it's somewhat better than ie6, relatively-speaking. but it's really important, if you do a moderate amount of internet surfing, to keep up with the security enhancements provided in the windows updates.

pm bruce wallace and ask him what he knows about xp sp2. (8

Smart a s s! :P IE 7 should not be installed on any computer that has programs that embed the browser. IE 7 renders them useless, BUT MS has been working on fixes for their mistakes.

Also, you will find some internet sites that don't recognize IE 7 and won't open.

I have not used Firefox, but if I was a person who liked tabs, I would take FF over IE7. Firefox doesn't break programs, from what I have read.

You can turn tabs off in firefox, thats how I have it. Just go to tools - options - tabs and set it to a new window a there you go no more tabs.

Thanks, Crissy. I am about ready to try FireFox. I am using IE 6 and tried IE7. It offered nothing.

IE7 did break 2 of my video editing software programs, and I jettisoned it right away.
