LOL! T, I am still using my 8-9yr old 19" Viewsonic G790. I have my Links graphics set at 1024x768x32bit, and I use both swing meters: the large ones for inside 10', and the standard (smaller one) for the over 10'.

(8 i was just messin' with jim, warren. geez, i'm 29 and i don't wear glasses. i hate to think what it would be like being 70 and playing 1280x1024! in 2048, i'll be asking for a registry hack for 640x480. lol.

error message

Postby Jimboroks1 on Tue Jan 30, 2007 11:17 am

While trying to get onto the game I came across another problem.
"AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE TRYING TO
START LINKS TOUR. PLEASE MAKE SURE
YOU HAVE INTERNET EXPLORER 5.0 OR
HIGHER AND TRY AGAIN. " I do.

Any ideas as to what I should do?

you 'np'd', and got the very same message??? what the heck's that (well, I KNOW, but i'm trying to get into jim's head)?

seriously, you keep up with windows' updates? you uninstalled/reinstalled links? you reapplied v1.05? you applied the correct server registry patch? and you're still getting the 'need ie5' message?

methinks you're forgetting one of these very important steps. including the 'np'.

And of course since you upgraded to 7 you'll have to re-add LSPN to your trusted sites and you should probably check your Links connection settings to make sure they're correct as well.

is the only message I've gotten since trying to join the tour. This ,of course , happened since I asked the question about the size of the gauges etc., but they are not connected. I , for some reason just cannot seem to join the tour now. I can play career, and other golf, but no tour.
I am not sure what you meant about the downloads question other than what was mentioned in the last few questions.
