connection problem

Postby virtuality2004 on Thu Jun 26, 2008 4:29 pm

I have a copy of Links 2001 Championship Edition version 1.22, and have recently tried to connect via the links tour. I put in the correct user ID and password, which I registered on this site with and am a casual player, but can't connect to anything. All I get is a message that reads :- "error occured while trying to communicate with the game server. Please check your internt connection and try again. Server Error: 0 code : 15". As far as I know there is nothing wrong with my internet connection, I tried some of the other setting options, still no luck. I am using Windows Professional 2000 as my OS. Can anyone help me?? :(

I have already used the help page and followed the instructions, I have version 1.22, so I don't need to install it. :?:

That message normally means that you haven't run the server switcher file that tells Links where the game servers are located these days. 1.22 on it's own is still trying to connect to the old LS Tour servers, which no longer exist.

Have you run the file from the second link in this extract from the Help page?

"One of the most important things you need to do is setup Links to look at the LSPN server. Run one of these files to do so:

Links 2003 or MOD
Links 2001"

In other words, this file - http://lspn.net/server_switch/LSPN_MAIN_L2K1.exe
