Almost resettled...

Postby TKHawaii on Sun Apr 22, 2007 7:13 am

I am almost resettled in my move from Hawaii to Colorado. 44 years in paradise and am now in the high country, kind of fun.

Just got my desktop up and running after a month and the mouse again has a mind of it's own. Tried to play a tournament and it was the mouse playing not me, so I backed out. I take it there is still no "re-qualilfy" method ?

The tournament I played was the only one I appear to have all the course for. What is the site where the "free" courses can be found ?

Thanks

Sometimes you can reQ, sometimes you can't. It depends on what the tourney creator set up

Free courses site http://linkscorner.org/courses/ . Although you're better off downloading from the home page if you wanna be sure you're getting the correct version

Not free downloads, File Planet seems to require purchase. Any other choices ?

Fileplanet does not require you to pay. You can register for free. Just be sure to scroll down the Web page a little when you get ready to d/l a course. Some of the d/l links are for paying subscribers, but there are other links for the rest of us nonpaying, registered members.

HMMM...It only seemed to give two options, a regular or a Premium membership (required). I will check again.

Freefaller, I use to download from File Planet, but now (I just left there), no matter what I do, I get a screen that is for sign up. Cannot download without it. Am I missing something ?

OK finally got it to work, it was taking me around in circles...
Thanks for the help and your patience.
Now, if I could only get my mouse control to stop "taking over" in mid swing.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

    1. Go to http://www.fileplanet.com/

    2. In the upper left-hand corner, click on "Register".

This takes you to a page with two sections:
    (1) Existing Users - Log In Here
    (2) New Users - Register Here

    3. In the "New Users" section, fill out the registration form and click the "Create My Account" button.

    4. This takes you to a page that tries to get you to subscribe (at $5.32/month or $3.33/month).
Select the "No Thanks" link near the bottom of the page.

Voila! You are now a registered member, though not a subscriber, and should be able to download Links courses.

Hope this helps.
