Matchmaker failed resolving hostname but will still work

Postby BionicWolf on Tue Nov 14, 2006 6:02 pm

Just FYI-I have hosted and/or joined MM sessions where I clicked START and after running the 2 exe's it gives "download failed/resolving host name- I just click ok then refresh web page and START button re-appears. Usually works second time- have had it go to 3 tries...BUT- I am still able to host and /or join just fine-Was just wondering if anyone else is doin' this 2-step occasionally-

I've had to do just that on a number of occasions -- but always manage to either host or join.
It's not the jeans that make your [censored] look fat.

Forgive my naivety(sp?)- What's a bump? Did I post to wrong place or perhaps made a useless post? Just curious- :?:

lol. no, bw, your post was fine. a bump simply brings a thread back to the top of the list on a forum.

some doofus [censored] either asked where they could steal software, or posted a link where immature thieves could steal software, so i bumped a few threads in an effort to bury it. it's been my experience very few people look at threads two positions below theirs.

then someone came along and completly (sic) messed up what i was trying to accomplish. (8

edit: btw, your post was what we need lots more of, and less thieving and spamming.
