Par 3 Stats

One of the stats shown on is for " Closest to the pin on Par 3". Anyone know what it represents?

It isn't the closest you managed on a par 3 for the round. Is it the average distance for the par 3's for the round? Judging by some of the numbers I have seen it isn't that either!

It's the average, and if you are using the English units, that stat is in yards for whatever reason.

The stat on the home page is the "total" distance from the pin (of all par 3 holes in the round) given in yards.

The stat within the game is the "average" distance from the pin (of all par 3 holes in the round) given in yards.

That is my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ah the total distance fron the pin sounds right. Not sure why it would be that but it sounds more likely from what I have seen.

I'm not sure what the stat is. After reading this thread, I decided to keep track of par 3 results during a round, just for the fun of it. During the 3rd round of the Jackson Hole Invitational (Champ), I hit all four par 3 greens in regulation (a rarity for me) and got these results:

31.0 feet
8.3 feet
26.6 feet
36.2 feet.

At the end of the round, the gamestats screen showed 8.51 for the distance to the pin on par 3s.

I don't know what to think, but I am going to try it a couple of more times.

Divide them all by 3 (yds), add together and then divide by 4

Also note on the home page, the games stats shows Mike's "closest to the pin stat" for round 3 as 34.00:

(31'+8.3'+26.6'+36.3')=102.1'/3 = 34 yards (total distance for the round)

Thanks, Jim. That works, as it did for the second time I kept track. I was thinking the figure was in feet, not yards.
