PLSA Valspar (Innisbrook)

It's no real excuse, but I wish, if he's listening, Glenn Braden would revise the the color of the greens on this course. Even with the grid lines, it's hard to get a read on them.

I was stressed yesterday (R2)... and it showed in my golf. Need to learn to avoid playing in those situations.

The grid lines are very hard
to see. I have been using
a magnifying Glass at times.

I was going to mention this also and glad someone else posted this. Both the fairway and greens need changing. Also, I wish when one makes a course that they label the deep rough, deep rough, rough, rough and 1st cut the same as fairway. As I found out the hard way, the couple rough lies that I had were indeed, deep rough and the 1st cut was rough. This is why I usually play a few hole in practice to see if the author has labeled them different. I hit some in the rough just to test it out. Well, I didn't do it this time and got burnt in the first round on hole 3 I think it was. Said rough but shot only went half way to hole.

The only thing wrong with Innisbrook isnt the color of the place its that if you're playing challenging they dont let you take your snap onto the course.Apart from a few putts ( often to save par) I think I managed 5 on the front 9. Started with hope on the back 9 but all that very soon disappeared with a great missnapping consistency.
Will have to try again tomorrow and go and buy a new snap.

when you are in the woods and try to hack out 6 times to find a fairway, I found any color of rough or fairway a welcome sight

it had been a long spell since a double figure had been posted on a score card

but no complaints since I yipped it over there, it was a bit frustrating since I had clubbed down to a 3W and often better chance to get in fairway but this yip was no ordinary yip roflmao.

That was me in Round #2. I was simply trying to get out. Felt lucky to get double on #10 in that round. Finally went to a tee box on the right side and got it up and down from there.

sometimes the bug ... sometimes the windshield he he

as far as the rough goes i noticed the hey martin soundtrack I use mixes up fringe collar with deep rough, at least it seems that way. pretty funny comments for some okay shots

Hello,
the older courses of Innisbrook -

Innisbrook Copperhead Tournament 2058 course or the Innisbrook Copperhead 2031,

the greens are a little easier to read.

Just FYI, #4 at Innesbrook CH was my first ace in any version of Links... and I honestly cannot remember what version it was.

This is the culprit. Went practice mode and flipped 180 deg.

What you say is true enough, but if you have the overhead view, it shouldn't have posed much problem...no? I will say it's another thing I hope Glenn will address.

Mr. Braden is probably more likely to respond to a post at Links Corner

Just played the last round m/f conditions. Reminded me of a real round I was lucky enough to play once upon a time at the Belfry.
The greens then were a lot quicker than I was used to and it seemed that every time I had a chance of a birdie or more likely a par, say within 10 feet, I would 3 putt.
If I was 20 or 30 feet , thinking no chance of holing this one, so i'd roll it fairly close and 2 putt.

here on Links on quick greens I hate 6,7 or 8 footers with bend. I just dont see the line and just fear the one coming back if I attack and miss. Inevitably I miss far far too many like that plus for some reason my putt snap is terrible at the same time.

Need to just come in at -1 in the last round. My worse conditions m/f.

Wow, just did it. Those conditions are so not real.
