I had no idea the first round of this tournament was going to be a handicap event. Played the mod tournament the other day and forgot to switch players and was left with only my trusty (errrr not so trusty) sand wedge in my bag. With 5 mullies, a few pars, and a single birdie managed to keep the score to +18. You can actually get around 160 yards out of that sand wedge if you use punch and don't bother to hit the bottom line at all. Seconds shots for some reason were a roll of the dice. Sometimes I got 215 yards, others barely 50. Faired much better at Entrada. -22 including an opening double eagle to set me on my way.
I know, I could have just withdrawn, but hey, it was my mistake so, "play on." It'll give the stats keeper something to ponder.
