Links 2003 Game Download

I need some help Guys. Even though I have the automatic updates turned off Microsoft managed to install a couple of critical updates on my Windows 10 laptop that just totally messed up my Links golf game. Uninstalled and then reinstalled the game and when I'm prompted to put the #1 disc back in to start the game my computer doesn't recognize it. So my question is "where can I purchase Links 2003 for downloading?" Thanks.

If you can hold back your contempt for me, I can offer to help. I think the answer to the "insert Disk 1" problem involves replacing your RUKSHUK.exe file, but I can no longer find the fix. I posted a request for someone to repost it in the "Tech Corner" area of the LinksCorner.org Forum.

Ok - here's what I found. First, on LinksCorner's Facebook page:

And here is the patched RukShuk.exe file to be downloaded, zipped (click on the three dots (...) in the upper right corner and select "Download"):

Not knowing your level of computer experience, here is some basic information. The Rukshuk.exe file is in the main "/Links 2003/" folder inside "/Program Files (x86)/". Their is already a RukShuk.exe file there. Copy (right-click, copy) that old file and paste it in another folder to save it. Open the .ZIP file and drop the new (patched) RukShuk.exe file into the "/Links 2003/" folder, selecting "Copy and replace". That's it. You should be good-to-go! :D

(Please post back so I'll know that this worked!)

I did a totally re-install of Links 2003 using the discs. Before even trying to open the game up I install every patch this is. The game fired up very nicely and I was able to adjust my graphics, create my player, and managed to play a couple of holes with everything seemingly working fine. Now it on to downloading my 753 courses.

Thank you for the help.

Yikes no backup? I have a copy of all my courses on a backup hard drive and on a 128gb memory stick which cost under 15 bucks!

Oh yes! I have all my courses on an external hard drive. I D/L'd thru the "F" courses. I can copy and paste about 10-12 courses at a time without slowing the transfer rate down.
