Augusta 2010 (which shows as2009) or 2023 or 2024???

I'm looking for a compelling reason to go with 2023 or 2024 over 2010? Ideas welcome.

From the holes I've played it looks like the whole course may have been "smoothed" out a bit... including the greens... and the color is a much lighter green... but not Glenn Braden green (Sorry Glenn, couldn't resist).

EDIT: I've now taken a look at 2023 and 2024. 2024 is shorter from the back tees by a lot. I'm sure 2023 is accurate for the actual Master's Tourney, but for links, while it's long, many of the possible hazards are not in play. For example, you cannot get to the bunkers on holes 1 and 2 in 2023, but they are in play in 2024. So, shorter course with hazards coming into play (2024) or longer (2024).

The floor is open.

I am getting old as I'm not understanding what you are asking. I am guessing this is a course you are talking about. Links 2010? Is this the name of the course?

Doug? Excuse me for butting in, but I think I can help. You mention Links 2010 and 2009 and 2023. Aren't you speaking about Augusta National 2010, 2009 and 2023? If you're considering Augusta National 2023, there is also an Augusta National 2024.

Having played two rounds on 2023, I'm leaning that way. It's like the author took all the rough edges off 2010, but it's not easier at all... although I had my first Ace on #6.

Still, I'd like other opinions.

I just played my last round in Johnny's Master event using 2023 and had a strange happening. On 16, pulled my tee shot left and was just inches off the green. Went for the auto selection chip so I thought only to see the swing meter heading for the 12 o'clock fast. Darn, tried to catch it quick only to see my shot almost go off the green on the right side. A fluke? Got a little teed off and tried to chip it from there on the green only to mistake the yards to feet. Way, way short and took a double.

I guess I will look closer next time. Links has never selected a full swing instead of a chip so close to the hole. 24' downhill 4".

When you get close enough to the green the caddie will auto pull out what ever club you selected for chipping and then you chip unless you are close enough to the green and override his choice and pick the putter. My caddie somehow didn't pick the chip mode and went to a full swing mode.

Just finished my last two rounds of the Master's.(Johnny's event) Three times in those two rounds I missed the green on my approach shot and off the green a few feet. My caddie gave me the putter this time instead of my chipper. Seems to be a problem on this 2023 version. Just have to be alert I guess. And I was.

Definitely a problem. Just played the first round and on the 8th I was just off the green short in the fringe 40 yards away. Caddie gave me a putter LOL Switched to a chip and sank it for eagle. Stats show I holed a putt from 120 feet. Same on 11 where I missed the green but it was a shorter chip
