PLSA BMW (Castle Pines 2021)

Well, when setting up the course, I was in practice mode putting only to make sure the chosen pins were fair.

I played a practice round with final round pin positions and MC/FC. While the pin positions are fair, I'm not ecstatic about the course... but I must say it's a huge improvement over any of the Microsoft versions.

If you look at the course in Google Earth Pro, it does go all over the place and I'm sure the roly poly terrain and some of the bounces I incurred are accurate. Facts are, I've NEVER liked Castle Pines regardless of the author. But it's the course for the tourney and the course we'll use.

I shot -2 in that practice round with 5 birdies and a triple (OB and water on the same hole).

I suggest you play a practice round and get used to the rough. There's a 1st cut and then there's CP Rough (which I believe is Deep Grass)

Believe me, my practice round is no threat to anyone and gives me no competitive edge.

Hi,
about Castle Pines 2021 (2642) :
I am on a PC which is not young and which poses some problems for me. But when I want to participate in the BMW tournament, Links considers that I do not have the course in question. However, I downloaded and installed it (and used in training) without problem. Do you have the same issue ?

Same issue with the Ruler of the Rough. Must be bad course numbers

Yes, I've written mark. I can play Castle Pines Golf Club 2021 and when I do these are the Course ID and Key.

ID: b16abb943fb24f128b06384df29c9a5d
Key: ee90ad790a70f58378341023f11d5be8

What's printed in Linkstour and what I see on Options -> Course Manager are the same. Zip file 2642.

Still, When I try to start the tournament it says it cannot find Castle Pines G C 2021. I've got to leave it to Mark to sort out.

FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was in the name... which is really nobody's fault. Castle Pines G C 2021 and Castle Pines Golf Club 2021 seemed to be used interchangeably when it needed to be Castle Pines Golf Club 2021 throughout.

Well, sort of fixed. For some reason when you look at your scorecard, the par values are not showing up and the scores are not color coded.

The scores appear to be correct as do the statistics. I've written Mark again, but I suspect since players have already played there won't be anything to be don about that.

Why is the course not showing the under par score on the left column on the scoreboard and not showing the hole par # on the scorecard?

The BMW is off to a bumpy start. We had some issues with the course record in the database which has since been fixed. Due to the nature of how this affected rounds in the event I decided to end that event early and create a new one to start fresh.

Well Dirk’s a happy boy at least. Swapped his first round 60 for a 51. Might play it if my first round gets transferred to this event.

Well, I wrote mark about some errors showing up, but also that the scores and stats were correct.

Evidently he felt there should be a do over. I think 3-4 players svores were wiped out... including my first 2 rounds

What's done is done. Play on.
